Venice Carnival kicked off in Italy, which will last 2 weeks

For the first time since the beginning of the global pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19, after a 4-year break in Italy, the grandiose Venice Carnival resumed its procession. This time, the world-famous carnival in Venice will run without restrictions and will last for 2 weeks, starting on February 4, 2023.

The opening of the Venice Carnival is marked by a parade of boats dressed in various masks, and this water procession along the Grand Canal is led by a special boat in the shape of a huge water rat. The night before, late in the evening, artists in carnival costumes performed an opera and other theatrical performances. The streets of the historical part of the carnival of Venice and the square are decorated with the presence of mysterious ladies in luxurious dresses and elegant gentlemen in masks. Tourists, who are happy to try on bright carnival costumes, cannot but join the traditions of the Venice Carnival.
